July Public Meeting Agenda

The Ladera Ranch Civic Council will hold its monthly meeting 7:00PM,  Monday, July 21, 2014 at the Santa Margarita Water District Building located at 26111 Antonio Parkway.
Ladera Athletic Complex

The Civic Council is seeking comment on the proposed project located at 2 Terrace Drive, on the vacate lot adjacent to the self-storage complex and behind the 24 Hour Fitness.  The Project will include indoor sports courts, office space, and storage space and is approximately 4 stories tall.  Currently under consideration by the Orange County Planning Commission, the project will be discussed at the July 21 Civic Council Meeting with additional information being presented. Balloons will be placed on the site to indicate the building corners and height on either July 14 or 15.

The Gas Company – Advanced Metering Project

The Gas Company is moving forward to automate gas meter reading in Ladera Ranch.  This follows the successful Smart Electrical Meter Program completed by SDG&E a couple of years ago.  The first phase of the project will be the installation of approximately six antennas throughout the community to read the signals from the meters.  The Gas Company is currently working with LARMAC on the placement of the antennas and is asking for the Civic Council’s review as well.

Bullying

The Council will debate the need for additional tools for law enforcing agencies to address “bullying” in our community.  This issue is currently being debated at various levels of government and community organizations.  Do you have an opinion?  We would like to hear it.  Plan on attending this meeting and let us know what you think.
